Monday we decided to go for a nature walk. It was a nice day for it because it wasn't too hot. For the walk we decided to take a stroll through the mountians. There's a nice trail that took us up for a little ways to the first rock fort that use to be a place to hide in. These forts are small with just enough room for a handful of people to sit it. The were hand made and it is clear that each rock is carefully selected to make the structure strong and durable.
After the first rock fort we continued up to too more of the forts, all slightly different from the other. A few of the kids even spotted a couple of deer that were walking through the mountains. After the walk we continued back down the mountain and went to the school to finish the day.
