Space Sports

    A few weeks ago we took the kids to play common sports but with a twist to them. For example, baseball with a square ball or football with our hands tied together. The kids had a blast with this and really loved baseball so we took them to play another round of it today.
    This game is more popular in the United States so the kids haven't played very much before. This is why the liked it so much. There are four bases that make a large square with one person on each base. Mean while there is one person in the middle throwing the ball to the opposite team whos attempting to hit the ball. If they hit the ball they are allowed to run to the closest base. After that they can contiune to run to the next bases as long as the ball has not been thrown back to the pitcher. If the make it around all four base they earn a point for their team. If they dont hit the ball they get a strike. If the recieve 3 strikes they are out of the game. Once everyone from one team has batted the two teams switch places. Its a fun game that involves quick action.
    After the game was finished we headed back to the school to work more on our paper mache ballons. We have finished putting paper on the ballons and now are starting to paint them to look like planets. Stay tuned for the final result on Thursday :).
    Ana Mar's class today was busy making part of their costumes they will be wearing on Thursday. With two strips of folded paper, construction paper, and a head band they made antennas! These were super cute and were topped off with a round colored ball.
     There's only two days left of camp so let's make the most of them! Thursday we will be putting on a small concert with songs the kids have prepared in English. The parents are welcome to come and watch the performance towards the end of the day.
