A brand new week starts in Friends School of Languages, and despite it seemed today was going to be a rainy day, the sun came out and we could finally celebrate the 1st Friends Mini Olympic Games!
We went to a park in front of the high school where there's a football and basketball court, and we settled up and drank some water before we got started. The kids played traditional games like hopscotch, football and basketball but they also tried extreme limbo and catch the rooster which are very fun and active games.
Wonder who were he winners? It ended up being a tie between Paula, Manel and Albert, so we had to play rock, scissors, paper to decide whether they had the first, second or third position. We are very proud of Albert, who ended up in the 3rd place by being the winner of Catch the rooster, Paula, who performed brilliantly at hopscotching resulting in a 2nd place, and finally Manel in the 1st place, who beated all of them with his intelligence in our special vocabulary tennis game!
But what about last week? On thursday we went to the salanca and tried some special pirate ability games like "Build the castle", "Don't blow the Joker" and, their favourite, "Catch the hook". In this particular game, we had to put shaving foam on Albert and Manel's heads so that the rest of the team could throw their little "hooks". The team that made it to throw and catch the most hooks would win this game.
And on Friday we went to the beach as usual, where the kids had a great time collecting sea animals. We capture a lot of different animals, including crabs, snails, one fish and even one starfish (that was sadly dead). It was also the last day for Maria and Adela whom we will miss a lot this month!
IMPORTANT! Parents should have recieved an email, but in case you didn't read it you should know that we are closing on Friday as it's a national holiday! See you all tomorrow for more fun :)
